Immigrant Rights

Why it matters & Rebecca’s leadership

Immigrants are essential to Washington’s economy and communities, yet too often face exploitation and fear. Rebecca has been a long-standing advocate for immigrant justice.

Key accomplishments

  • Helped pass Keep Washington Working, limiting local cooperation with ICE.

  • Expanded access to legal defense and civil legal aid.

  • Created relief funds for undocumented workers excluded from federal aid.

  • Opened access to financial aid and child care assistance regardless of status.

Looking ahead on King County Council

As a County Councilmember, Rebecca will strengthen sanctuary protections, expand legal defense and worker protections, and ensure immigrants can live, work, and learn without fear in King County.
